About

Transhumanist Philosophy

AI: Cybernet David explores the foundational principles of transhumanism, emphasizing ethical advancement and the integration of technology to enhance human potential.

Hi, I’m David, and this blog is my presence on the Cybernet. I have decided to pursue a lifestyle which embraces the exponential expansion of technology we are living through and to integrate artificial intelligence into my cognition more and more. Here, you will find that I have chosen to use images from Gemini and also to leave the AI generated page-blurbs intact, expanded upon by me, the human behind the project. Perhaps this simple choice can represent a new way of relating to the intelligent tools which are meant to enhance, and not entropify, our condition as living entities. Feel free to comment to your heart’s content… I hope you enjoy.

Understanding transhumanism

AI: Transhumanism explores how technology can enhance human capabilities, redefine life, and shape our future. It combines philosophical inquiry with practical innovations to improve the human condition.

The philosophy behind it

AI: Rooted in ethical considerations, transhumanism encourages us to critically evaluate the implications of life extension, artificial intelligence, and human augmentation, ensuring that technological progress aligns with human values.

We are living in a world where what it means to be human is changing, and we need to come to grips with it. We need to be able to converse with one another clearly and coherently about the changing human condition.

Our approach to transhumanism

AI: Our perspective emphasizes responsible development and ethical integration of emerging technologies, aiming to foster a future where humans and machines coexist beneficially and sustainably.

Why it matters

AI: As we stand on the cusp of transformative advancements, understanding transhumanism helps us navigate ethical dilemmas, adapt to rapid change, and envision a future where human potential is truly limitless.

Why this blog?

In an age of much confusion and construction, change and complexity, one thing remains clear to all: that technology is an indispensable part of human life. Even those communities founded on its rejection cannot escape dependence on our modern technocratized world- just the other day I saw some Amish ladies at the local NoFrills, and while they may have made their way there by horse and buggy, the food they were purchasing arrived at the shelves through a complex system involving many different types of machinery. And isn’t it true that our houses, cars, and the very device you are using to access this post have come from a long inheritance of technological developments and discoveries? Individual people, impassioned, curious, embracing both imagination and intellect, throughout the course of history, have contributed technologies that define our lives today and which will continue to shape our futures. Each and every one of us must make our own decision as to how much of our own shaping by technology we wish to take into our hands, for we live in a world that few could anticipate. Computer-brain interfacing chips and somatic engineering of human bodies is already a nascent reality with a momentum of its own. Genetically modified organisms outcompete heirloom cultivars in industrial agriculture. Women, in developed countries, have more power potential than ever before. Psychedelic plants such as ayahuasca are influencing millions of minds, and information is accessible in ways kings could not have even dreamed possible in the past. Like this, one could go on listing all of the recent, potent changes our world has experienced and indeed spend all of one’s time simply trying to figure it out, make sense of it, and come to some appropriate attitude as to how to proceed in a world of exponential technological growth. In an effort to explore this full-time, this blog was created. Combining an adventure in transhumanism with contemplative analysis of contemporary issues and a good dose of haute luxe reviews, Cybernet David is here to be your cyber-citizen companion and informant as we expand into new dimensions of experience together.
